Since we moved in to our flat three days ago, I have not had even one minute to do anything. Today (Friday 3rd October) is a bit more of a chilled out day! Laura and Dan are staying at ours until they find a flat so we have some good Irish banter for our flat over the next few days.

We all got up and Laura had to go to visit her school. Amory, Dan and I decided to go to the market (there’s a produce market every day one minute walk from our flat!!) and stock up on some fresh fruit and veggies.

The market is absolutely stunning (and very expensive) with a grand selection of every fresh produce you could ever want or need. We strolled through and picked up lots of veggies and fruits, a few baguettes and a lot more cheese than necessary!!

So… I present to you all our lunch this afternoon. It’s crazy to think that this is what my lunches will look like for the next year. I am so, so blessed and thankful to be here and to be having such an incredible time. The food is incredible, the people are wonderful and the lifestyle is exactly for me.

I also have a lot to look forward to over the next couple of months. My Mamie and Bex are coming to visit me in less than two weeks, then my BEST FRIEND is coming for my birthday (YAAAAAY KERYS BOOKED IT LAST NIGHT) and then the parents are coming a couple of weeks later!

For those who don’t know, I will not be going home for Christmas either. I thought I would like to make the most of my year here and do not want to split the year up in half. I am excited to spend it with a good friend from home here and then hopefully some of the assistants will be having Christmas day together!

P.s. I’ve added in some pictures of our local area below (the centre of Aix) – more to come when all the visitors are over and I have to take them around!

À bientôt!
