Salut!

Whilst I was in Aix, me and Hayley had a free day to go wherever we wanted and we decided that Cassis and the Calanques de Cassis would be a great idea (many thanks to Hayley’s flatmate Maxence for driving)!

I’ve always wanted to go to Cassis and had heard a lot about it and the calanques surrounding it but never got the chance to go.

Quel chance that it all worked out because it was incredible! It was a beautiful day and we had a great time driving the roads, a new spectacular view greeting us after every corner. There’s beautiful views over the Mediterranean coast and the cities that sit on the coast.

To be honest, the photos speak for themselves…

And of course we had to get photos for our Facebooks…

We then took a trip down in to the city of Cassis, which was busy. There was a lovely market full of handmade trucs from local artisans, and a beautiful port with a beach and the sea just beyond. We explored the town a little bit, grabbed an ice cream (of course) and embraced the beautiful weather…

If you’re planning a trip to South East France soon, this day trip is a must-do.

À bientôt !
